My name is Dale. I’m 32. I live in California.
I love Jesus.
And I love my wife and kids, too. A lot.
We moved to California in early 2009 so I could work for a radio station.
I was born in Nashville, TN. I grew up outside Richmond, VA. I met my wife in Tulsa, OK. I wish I could be in all three of those cities more often.
According to the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, I’m an “INFP” with “ENFP” tendencies. Idealism and strong values shape me … and I’m very imaginative and loyal. According to StrengthsFinder, my top 5 strengths are Connectedness, Adaptability, Ideation, Input, and Belief.
My passion is encouraging others into a more profound way of walking with Jesus. I believe it’s possible to love Jesus in new (but ancient) ways.
I’m a Communication Director at an amazing church.
My family sponsors 3 children from Ethiopia though Compassion International. Without a doubt, it’s been the most impactful thing I’ve ever been a part of … knowing that my monthly financial gift is literally changing the lives of 3 kids on the other side of the planet.
I’m also passionate about plain-spoken Christian theology that takes the Bible seriously and points people to the red letters in Scripture. I identify with the Anabaptist movement but constantly look for Truth in unconventional places.
And I believe that Rob Bell is not a heretic.
