Since 2004, it’s been a dream of mine to help craft and tell the story of Jesus in a local church setting. When the dream began I had no idea how to make it happen. Eight years later, that dream has come true.

After some long conversations and tons of prayer, I’ve made a decision to resign my full-time position at Spirit 88.9. I’m grateful for Bob, Jeremy and the team at Spirit 88.9. More than anything, they’ve taught me the value of storytelling and how important it is in sharing the heart of the Gospel.

When Linny and I moved to Visalia three years ago, we had no idea we’d fall in love with a church the way we have. So beginning March 1, I’ll be the new Director of Communication and Production at Neighborhood Church.

The next chapter is about to begin.

Dear friends and family of The City Harmonic,

It is with a heavy and yet hopeful heart that we ask your help in prayer. A few nights ago, our brother-in-Christ and bandmate Eric Fusilier was feeling weak and unable to move. As such, he and his wife visited the doctor and underwent a series of tests. Within a matter of hours they received a phone call urging them to hurry him to a hospital for further tests and to treat some serious concerns.

Yesterday morning we heard from Laura that Eric has been diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of Leukemia known as ALL,or Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Thankfully, this is a treatable and potentially curable cancer, however it will be a challenging road ahead for Eric and Laura’s families as well as their friend and family. For now, we simply ask that you join with us in prayer for the Eric, Laura, and all those touched by him. Please pray for his health and well-being, and thank God for his courage and continued good-spirits in this difficult time.

Cancer sucks!

I moved Super 8 to the top of our Netflix queue and it arrived in the mail this week. Date night with Linny was last night and we finally sat down to watch it.

Watching Super 8 made me feel like a kid again. Like the first time I ever watched movies like E.T., Gremlins, or The Goonies. I guess that’s what Spielberg movies are supposed to do.

Linny was apprehensive. She knew nothing about the movie except that I told her there was this horrific train crash near the beginning.

As we were watching Super 8, she grabbed my arm. A lot. The way she grabbed my arms is the reason teenage boys take their hot first dates to scary movies.

My right arm hurts this morning. I think I’m going to rent more movies like Super 8.

Even though Linny hates loves them.

There is a house different from any other
Filled with light and love
